Much cherished anti-federalist leader Chaitra Bahadur K.C. believes that China has lately begun showing interest in Nepal because it believes that instability and anarchy here will bear negative impact in Tibet.
“Ethnic Federalism could disrupt age-old communal harmony in Nepal and the country could go out of control. In such a situation, multi-national security forces could enter Nepal and thus there will be a serious threat to Tibet. This is what China believes. Thus it has stood against ethnic federalism in Nepal.”
He also made it clear before the attending mass in Gaidakota of Nawalparasi, September 5, 2012 while addressing a program that the failure of the constitution drafting process is because of the federal order.
“Foreigners have flushed money into Nepal to garner support in favor of federalism. As a former member of the constituent assembly and while being seated in the constitutional committee, I came to know about the foreign investment in federalism.” (Read five questions also).
