Nepal’s prolonged volatility may invite India, China to intrude says Sr. Koirala

Telegraph Nepal

President Sushil Koirala of Nepali Congress says that political conflict in Nepal if not resolved on time could take gigantic dimension because Nepal’s immediate neighbors China and India will be dragged into the conflict to safeguard their prime interests.

Sushil seems to have got the needed enlightenment overnight. Old age advantage.

This he said at an interaction program organized by Nepal Students’ Union (NSU) in Nagarkot of Bhaktapur, September 3, 2012. The NSU is a NC affiliate.

Wisdom prevails finally.

He added, “The prolonged transitional period is indicative of intense conflict in the days to come.”

Sushil has not traveled to New Delhi for long thus where from he got this enlightenment is a mystery. Isn’t it? But the satellite is working round the clock.

At the program titled ‘Role of Student Leadership and Nepal’s Challenges’, Sushil continued “Nepal’s giant neighbors China and India are trying hard to become world super powers. On the other hand, Nepal is reeling under acute transitional period. Our parties have failed to garner consensus. On geopolitical terms, confrontation in Nepal will take much bigger dimension if not resolved on time. It is certain that India and China will also be involved in the future conflict in Nepal.”

In fact Sushil expects that if the Nepali political situation remains in the state what it is today then Nepal may turn into Afghanistan.

He however, did not tell his audience as to how much share the NC has in deteriorating the country’s situation?
