The Rajstriya Janashakti Party Vice Chairman Prakash Chandra Lohani while addressing a press interaction organized by Reporters’ Club in Kathmandu, September 3, 2012, said that Prime Minister Baburam’s decision to meet Indian Prime Minister without informing foreign minister and foreign ministry officials was an act of the Prime Minister to totally surrender himself to the foreigners.
On the sidelines of the NAM Summit held in Iran, Baburam had met Indian PM Manmohan August 30.
Nepal’s foreign ministry officials have been claiming that in the said meeting Indian Prime Minister was accompanied by National Security Advisor Shiva Shankar Menon and Home Secretary Ranjan Mathai whereas Nepal’s Prime Minister was alone representing his country.
“Our Prime Minister by meeting the Indian Prime Minister alone has totally surrendered himself to the foreigners. His sole objective is to prolong his term in government,” claimed Lohani.
Lohani adds, “If Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Narayan Kaji has moral he should immediately tender his resignation. This incident is the indication that Baburam has no confidence in his foreign minister.”
