The Indian Embassy in Kathmandu has come to the rescue of Nepal’s India elevated Nepal’s Prime Minister Baburam. No Surprise!
In a note issued by the Indian Embassy, as reported by Annapurna Post Daily September 3, 2012, the meeting between Nepal’s Prime Minister Baburam and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was a ‘one on one’ meeting and that there were no officials from both the countries present at the meeting.
White lie.
On the sidelines of the NAM Summit held in Iran, Baburam had met Indian PM Manmohan, August 30.
On the other hand, Nepal’s foreign ministry officials have been claiming that in the said meeting Indian Prime Minister was accompanied by National Security Advisor Shiva Shankar Menon and Home Secretary Ranjan Mathai, Nepal’s Prime Minister was alone representing his country.
Baburam has claimed that the meeting between the two lasted for over an hour.
According to the Embassy press note, the two had held talks over issues of bilateral cooperation and unfolding political situation of Nepal.
What a deliberate structured twist?
