Central committee member Ms. Sujata Koirala of Nepali Congress is not happy with her party senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba for publicly reprimanding party president Sushil Koirala.
Blood is thicker than water.
Ms. Sujata expressed her anger at a press meet organized by Press Union in Butwal of Rupandehi district, September 2, 2012.
“It is against the party policy to publicly reprimand the president”, she opined and continued, “In a democratic party it is only natural to have divergence of views but we cannot criticize each other publicly.”
“A person who had been prime minister of the country four times (Deuba) in the past should not have publicly scolded a senior political leader like Sushil Koirala”, she also said.
However, Sujata claimed, such criticisms will have no negative impact in the party rather it will be harmful to Deuba himself.
At another plane she opined that major parties should resolve contentious constitutional issues first and then revive the Constituent Assembly to promulgate the constitution.
Sujata was freshly in New Delhi.
Remarkably, as regards CA revival Sujata Koirala and Shekhar Koirala do not share similar views. Shekhar was also in New Delhi recently who prefers parliamentary polls.
Perhaps they met with different set of leaders there. Practicing democracy.
