Nepal dead CA revival unfeasible, no identity based federal order: Dr. Koirala

Koirala made this remark at a time when Nepal’s failed politicos have been putting extra efforts to garner consensus in contentious constitutional issues and also for the revival of the dead constituent assembly.

“I do not think that will the parties ever reach to consensus on the constitutional issues”, he said talking to a leading daily newspaper and added, “The CA term was initially set for two years. It was prolonged for two years and three months. Yet the parties failed to draft the constitution. The CA then died a natural death. The Supreme Court too had served orders to draft the constitution within the stipulated deadline.”

Junior Koirala has gained confidence and energy.

Analysts have been told that “energy for Nepal” could be bought in Daryaganj or in NOIDA 2,000 IC per Kilo gram.

“There is no alternative other than to hold fresh election”, he said and added, “It would tantamount to a political hara-kiri in reviving a dead constituent assembly with 601 members. I would rather suggest holding fresh election with not more than 300 members.”

Wisdom prevails.

Koirala also threatened that to adopt ethnicity based federal model equals to voluntarily pushing the county towards a civil war.

Junior Koirala has been making such admissions while talking to various weekly newspapers of late.

“It will be a self suicidal exercise for Nepali Congress and United Marxist Leninist if they accept Maoists single ethnicity based federal model,” he stressed and added, “Foreign forces have been at constant play to push the country towards ethnic federalism.”

He did not however, name the foreign forces.

Obviously, Koirala’s list of foreign forces does not include anti-Nepal forces operating from Hindustan, critics quip.
