The Nepal Communist Party-Maoists’ politburo member Kul Bahadur K.C., told media that his party will soon forward the same set of 40 point demands that Baburam Bhattarai had submitted to the then Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba with few additions such as BIPPA agreement and Upper Karnali.
Replay of the 1996 drama.
“We will take the struggle option if our demands are not met with”, threatened K.C.
K.C. did not disclose what is taking his party this long to submit the same set of demands to Baburam government.
“Is it that they are also in the process of bargaining with the same foreign god”, ask critics.
By the way, Dharmendra Bastola from this group has already made a secret trip to New Delhi.
He also claimed that the newly formed FDRA (Federal Democratic Republican Alliance) led by Unified Maoists’ Chairman Pushpa Kamal took shape under the direct supervision of India.
“This alliance is neither a communist nor a nationalist one,” he said and added, “This has been formed to guarantee India’s prime interests in Nepal.”
K.C. was speaking at the party’s central committee meeting, August 30, 2012.
Chairman Mohan Baidya Kiran also spoke at the meeting.
He said, “Political deadlock is impossible to get resolved through revival of CA and through fresh election but instead a round table conference should be held to end all disputes.”
The ongoing three party talks are simply ridiculous as they no longer possess the mandate to resolve national issues, he also opined.
