Telegraph Nepal

The Department of Postal Services, Nepal and Embassy of Israel are organizing a joint program to mark the Issuance of the First Nepal-Israel Joint Postage Stamp about Mount Everest and the Dead Sea, 4 September 2012.

The postage stamps will be issued simultaneously in Nepal and in Israel at the same time on 4th September 2012. This is the first time Nepal has issued a joint stamp simultaneously in its modern history.

Nepal’s Minister for Information and Communication Mr. Raj Kishor Yadav and Ambassador of Israel Mr. Hanan Goder Goldberger will put on the First Day Cancellation marks on the Nepali and Israeli version of the Postage Stamps, respectively.

These two impressive stamps are wonderful examples of the long term partnership and friendship between our two countries and people, states a press release issued by the Embassy of Israel in Kathmandu.

  • There is always some anti-Israel twit that can turn the most inoffensive events into a little rant. What country does not have "interests"? And Israel also has plenty of friends, including one big one you may know.
