Nepal to host Thai Food Festival 2012, tourism promotion idea

The Royal Thai Embassy, Kathmandu, in cooperation with the Department of Export Promotion of Thailand, Tourism Authority of Thailand and Thai Airways International will organize “Thailand Today and Thai Food Festival 2012” on 6th September 2012, at 4-6 pm and on 7 September 2012 at 10 am-5 pm at Yak&Yeti Hotel, Kathmandu.

This exhibition is aimed to promote Thailand as a preferred destination in Asia for tourism and medical services as well as to promote authentic Thai Food and to share Thailand’s rich culture in healthy and tasty food with Nepali people and foreigners living in Nepal.

The exhibition will be a showcase of many of Thailand’s amazing tourist destinations as well as many renowned hospitals and spas as medical hub of Asia.  Moreover, various Thai companies will come to display their quality products, ranging from auto part, cosmetic, footwear, energy drink to home products.

Thai food is one of the world’s most popular cuisines. Prepared by using plenty of fresh ingredients and spices, Thai food is a perfect harmony of taste, flavor and texture. In this Thai Food Festival, a team of 8 experienced Thai chefs and instructors flying directly from Bangkok, Thailand will prepare various authentic and famous Thai dishes, including Thai sweets and Thai fruits presenting in Thai traditional way of cooking and serving for special dining experience.

In addition, all participants can also enjoy lucky draw prizes, including a roundtrip ticket Kathmandu-Bangkok-Kathmandu, so states a press release issued by the Royal Thai Embassy in Nepal dated, 29 August, 2012.
