Promises after promises! Nepal’s failed political actors continue to befool the entire population by making promises only yet with no alternative to political parties, people have no option other than to continue listening to their ad nauseating commitments.
Deaf and dumb population.
The so-called top three party leaders were invited at a program Wednesday August 29, 2012, where they made commitment to break the present political deadlock within the month of Bhadra, 2069 (September 16, 2069). They thus succeeded to once again grab the media headlines. Shame on the media including ours.
Pushpa Kamal of Unified Maoists, Sushil of Nepali Congress and Jhala Nath of United Marxist Leninist accepted in an unashamed manner that the country was mainly suffering because of their ‘lust for power’. 12 point greed.
“Because they know that there is no substitute for themselves, they can continue to fool the population by asking for excuses and continue commit crime against the country”, critics have it. Insult of the population continues every week under this or that pretext.
Psuhpa Kamal said, “This is our last chance yet there is no reason to be unhappy. We have joined hands once again to forge consensus. We will not consume much time this time around”.
He continued, “We have two alternatives. First is to garner consent among parties over contentious issues of constitution and then restore the parliament.
Second is formation of national unity government and hold the constituent assembly election. I am not certain if parties could unite easily to form a national unity government.”
Sushil said, “In the days ahead due to whose fault did the country suffer should also come to the fore.”
The UML chairman Jhal Nath said “The present government must go to find an outlet from the present mess.”
Speaking at the program, the NCP-Maoist Chairman Mohan Baidya put blames on three party leadership for the political failure and suggested fresh election to end the political vacuum.
Ram Chandra of NC and Madhav Nepal of UML also spoke at the program.
