Nepal PM’s BIPPA Deal with India anti-national: UML party

Telegraph Nepal

Baburam has no moral right to continue sticking to PM’s chair, claims formally the United Marxist Leninist party because during his term in government- a year now, Baburam has signed anti-national BIPPA with India to please his masters in New Delhi and have in a humiliating manner also claimed that key to Nepali sovereignty lay outside the country.

The Key also lay in New Delhi during the agitation of 2005. Isn’t it UML?

Baburam must provide convincing answers to the sovereign Nepali nationals over his humiliating remarks else a person who for the sake of cheap popularity keeps on making such remarks has no moral right to stick to PM’s chair.

According to the UML, Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai’s assertion that Nepal could eventually merge/submerge into India or China if the country fails to act as a dynamic bridge between the two countries, was not only deplorable but his remarks are also against the national sovereignty.

Bhattarai while talking to his preferred group of journalists some months back while deriding at Nepal’s unifier King Prithivi Narayan Shah had claimed that “If we fail to come out from the buffer state mentality, there looms the threat of either merging with India or China.”

Is such an eventuality, Bhattarai for sure will prefer India, hope analysts.

Be that as it may, UML has prepared a list of crimes which could be taken as ‘anti-national and anti-people’ committed by the Baburam government.

The government has undermined national interest, ridiculed democratic practices and rule of law, yet it has promoted corruption and impunity.

According to the UML, Baburam government has encouraged inflation, drained national exchequer and many more.
