Nepal FDRA will ultimately split nation: NC and UML conclude

Telegraph Nepal

The ‘Federal Democratic Republican Alliance’ comprising of majority parties represented in the government and led by Chairman Pushpa Kamal of Unified Maoists, according to a joint meeting of Nepali Congress and United Marxist Leninist leaders, has been formed to further escalate political conflict in the country.

The frustrated leaders of NC and UML came to this conclusion at a joint meeting held in Kathmandu, August 25, 2012.

They have also warned the alliance not to look for their petty party interests by pushing the nation towards likely disintegration.

Present at the meeting representing Nepali Congress were frail President Sushil, vice president Ram Chandra, General Secretary Prakash Man Singh and Minendra Rijal. Similarly, Chairman Jhalanath, General Secretary Ishwar Pokharel and leaders Madhav Nepal and Bhim Rawal were also present.

The NC and UML leaders also claimed that the alliance has been basically formed to disrupt the process of consensus beginning signing of the 12-Point Agreement.

The New Delhi forced 12-Point agreement dated November 22, 2005 that devastated the nation completely is still considered much sacred than Gayatri Mantra itself by Nepal’s political actors. Brajesh Mishra and Shyam Saran will laugh upon listening to this news.

They also expressed their anguish in the manner they are being labeled as anti-federalists.

“The country is being divided in the name of so-called supporters of federalism and anti-federalism. The parties in government by artificially dividing the country in the name of federalism want to split the country ultimately.”

But the tool of this division, the UML and the NC had themselves carried from Delhi. Isn’t it?

Responding to Chairman Puhspa Kamal’s call for formation of an alliance the two parties said, “We will not hold talk through an alliance though we are always ready for talks on party to party basis”.

  • no need to worry about this ‘Federal Democratic Republican Alliance’. yes no talk with this alliance but with parties. When there are so many caste and parties in this alliance how on earth one can belive that they stick together when it comes to prachanda ekal caste naming concept. Do anyone think that one caste will support other caste ekal name. This is all prachanda new trick to cheat people and be more powerful. Infact so as to prolong this govt and show prachanda the heavyweight this alliance can do nothing. It will later break up into pieces when the issue of ekal naam come in but till that time prachanda cunning hyanae brain wants to use to murkha manusya gathering.
