Nepal President will eventually sack PM Bhattarai: Gautam

Telegraph Nepal

Bam Dev Gautam is not in stable terms with his presumed former ‘whisky partner’ Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal of Unified Maoists Party.

Nothing goes steady in politics. Brand change.

Gautam, the United Marxist Leninist leader who, rumors had it then, was all set to join Dahal’s party have been heavily criticizing Dahal of late.

In Pyuthan, August 21, 2012, Gautam claimed that Dahal’s purpose to give a shape to the federal alliance between ruling parties is to facilitate serious confrontation between political parties.

“Dahal’s new alliance will only facilitate confrontation than resolving disputes between parties,” he said and added, “He is not only distancing consensus between the parties but wants simply to prolong the term of the government.”

“Sooner or later President will have to sack the prime minister because he is dreaming of total state capture by ignoring the process of consensus.”

The interaction program was organized by Press Chautari in Bijwara.

  • Do not care if labeled regressive but fact of the matter is unless flip flops political parties join the old guard, the naked but not invisible foreign hands will continue make a case study of failed nation.

  • Can the parties and leaders coerce the president to take action as per their whims and facies? Hope he does not fall prey to leaders' requests as he did in the case of Rukmangat Katuwal !! Ater all there are only two constitutionl institutions which have to be together to solve problems which the nation is facing.Well choice is theirs.
