The Unified Maoists Party with their long-term strategy to capture the state has been carrying-out illegal practices.
So alleged NC leader Ram Saran Mahat of Nepali Congress while addressing a press-meet in Kathmandu, August 20, 2012.
“The idea is to promote corruption and create instability and chaos in the country to facilitate easy capture of the state.”
What a brilliant idea?
“The Maoists have crossed all the tolerable limits of corruption,” he said and added, “The Public Accounts committee, PAC, had asked the government to finance Self Employment Fund through commercial banks however, the government has chosen small cooperatives to distribute the funds. This is the strategy to nourish their party cadres.”
“The estimated cost of construction of Pokhara Airport is USD 8Cr however, the government has handed over the contract at USD 31 Cr. Billons of rupees have been gulped by the Maoists leadership. It is estimated that the Maoists have also amassed Rupees 5 Billion in the project to enhance capacity of Upper Karnali Hydropower project.”
He also claimed that one of the prime reasons behind dissolving the CA by Maoists government is the fear of being exposed in the corruption practices being carried out at the PLA cantonments in the name of fake PLA.
“The Public Accounts committee was investigating the illegally amassed NPR 2 Billion by the Maoists leadership in the name of fake peoples’ liberation army.”
