Publicly Indian leaders might have been reiterating their stand in favor of a developed and prosperous Nepal but internally, Indian leadership acts in an opposite manner. Dharmendra Bastola of Nepal Communist Party-Maoist claimed this while addressing a program in Hong Kong, August 19, 2012.
Bastola who is the in-charge of party’s international relations bureau also claimed that India played a lead role in splitting the Unified Maoists’ Party.
The Kantipur Online reports that Bastola is presently in Hong Kong to participate in a program organized by party’s expatriate cadres.
“Not only Maoists but India which takes on expansionist and imperialist policies have already destroyed Nepali Congress, United Marxist Leninist and majority of the Madhesi parties,” said Bastola and added, “For a long time India had plans to hijack Maoists Party. With puppets of the sort of Prachanda and Baburam in their favor they did it at ease.”
Speaking at the same program, he also disclosed that, in his own words, “Even the Nepal President has accepted that all the political games are being played from across the border”, said Dharmendra Bastola, the Maoists leader who made a secret trip to Dilli Dham.
He however, did not reveal as to when and where President Yadav made such dangerous claim.
