Nepal: Forge consensus or Maoists will rule for two decades says Dahal

In Lahan of Siraha district, while addressing a press meet organized by Revolutionary Journalists’ Association, August 18, 2012 Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal of Unified Maoists claimed that present government led by Baburam will continue for 20-25 years more to come.

Dahal claimed, “Sushil Koirala and KP Sharma Oli are more focused on government than consensus and unity. Unfortunately, government is their first priority. They think that if the country comes out of the present mess, Prachanda will be the winner thus they are obstructing the process of consensus. If the present situation is to continue, let it be known to all that the present government will continue until next election held, it may take 20 years or even more”.

“The present government has been termed as a caretaker one by the president himself. What is the need to ask resignation of a caretaker government”, he questioned.

“Those are ignorant leaders or must have been hatching conspiracies,” he also claimed at the press meet.

The 12 point Treaty is still working perhaps.
