Nepal Prez can’t sack PM BRB: Dahal's open challenge to Dr. Yadav

Telegraph Nepal

Chairman Pushpa Kamal of Unified Maoists has asked Nepali Congress to form an alliance of the sort led by him ‘Federal Democratic Republican Alliance’ if it is willing to hold table talks.

“The NC too could well form an alliance with the parties of the sort of United Marxist Leninist if it is willing to hold meaningful talks with us,” he said this while addressing a press meet in Biratnagar of Morang, August 17, 2012.

“Instead of holding talks with each and every party it is easier for two alliances to hold talks,” he claimed.

Prefers to polarize entire Nepal.

Pushpa Kamal also revealed that there lay three prime objectives before the alliance.

“First, to end the political impasse, second, to hold the elections and third, if any obstacle is laid before us we will take to the streets eventually”, he declared and added, “Currently, talks are underway to contest the election together.”

Carrot and sticks go together.

“Neither will the government resign, nor can the president sack the prime minister,” he claimed and added, “The country will plunge into further crisis if present government quits.”

An open challenge to the titular Nepal President. Is this the beginning of what the NC claims of Maoists’ State Capture?

Side effects of 12 point Treaty.

  • No harm using harsh language as the opposition demands.Prachanda has learnt it the harder way.He has tried to be very considerate for the past 5 yrs with the opposition but now he feels enough is enough and he started acting tough! While in the process of pleasing opposition friends he has bought enminity from within certain portion of his own party incl the PLA fighters. Consensus now is a far fetched thing and it has become thing of the past. He must now move fwd firmly with changed strategy with firm determination. No looking back Mr Chairman!Country's welfare lies in your hand.Go ahead and god speed.
