Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP)-Nepal led by Kamal Thapa has urged other two parties of former panchas, RPP led by Pashupati Rana and Rastriya Janshakti Party (RJP) led by Surya Bahadur Thapa for having a ‘formal unity between the three parties’.
The process of unity between RPP-Rana and RJP-Thapa had already begun however, with the fresh request coming from RPP-Nepal, reports Annapurna Post, their process of unity has come to a sudden halt.
The report adds, “Chairman Kamal Thapa of RPP-Nepal is ready to accept the stand of RPP-Rana and RJP-Thapa on the issue of constitutional monarchy.”
Thus, Kamal Thapa has, better let than never, surrendered his stand in favor of constitutional monarchy because the two parties have already accepted the republican order.
However, Thapa in his proposal has requested the two parties to support his stand in favor of reviving the ‘Hindu State’.
