Nepal democrats unite, avert Maoists State Capture goal: Kamal Thapa

Telegraph Nepal

Chairman Kamal Thapa of Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal claimed while addressing an interaction with the local civil society leaders in Birgunj of Parsa District, August 12, 2012, that in the manner the foreign forces are interfering in the internal matters in Nepal does indicate towards the looming threat over Nepali sovereignty.

“If the present situation continues for long, we are certain to lose our sovereignty”, said Thapa but did not present his medicament to the national ailment.

Problems only. A solution remains absent.

“Absence of constitution is pushing the nation towards becoming a Failed State”, he said at the program and added, “The idea is to create a State without constitutional bodies. The government is vacating constitutional posts one after another. The end is a ‘failed state’ and thus it will ease the Maoists to capture the State in total.”

So what the hell the Maoists will do by capturing a failed State?

To prevent the Maoists from capturing the state there is no alternative than unity between democratic forces, claimed Thapa.

  • If political forces quarrelling each other and making constitutional vaccancy quite a long time and state body is not working well there will be no doubt one day our leaders ´will turn this country as a Sikkim. But any way Maoists and non Maoists party leaders are NEPALI. We believe all of main political party leaders are Nepali and they have gratest feeling of patrotism and we people suggest or advise to our major top political leaders to be one as national interests and then involve to party interest. To be Nepali is our identity and our flag moon and sun is enourmous great pleasure for us. The great King PN Shah unified the great Nepal. That is why independence day is one of the greatest thing for us that is why past mistakes they could correct and restablish the institution in periphey of constitution. Person can be bad but monarchical institution was always good for Nepali. That is why top political party leaders should come in one platform and do good things for our Nepal. Still we believe Prachand was earlier Kalidash but He is turning after Kalidash. As well He was as a Ravan then now people little little by feeling as Rama.He was telling to change the society thousands and thousand people should sacrifice but we people believe non-violence also creat the good things we do not go to search far place our neighbour country like India we saw Mahatma Gandhi but come what may past is past but we must correct the bad thing in society and making this country like Singapur as version of Dr Bhattarai.

  • I have not been able to understand the meaning of "State Capture" as it is frequently used by our leaders!. What I understand is that in the present context it simply means to be in power with democratic process as at present. We can't derive anyother meaning. Isn't it the intention of every political party to be in power? State Capture I understand is getting the reign of the country focibly.I don't think their(Maoists') intention is that. They want to do it by following democratic means. They had done it in the last election but it was simple majority and not two third or absolute majority. There fore no wrong interpretation please!

  • The medication to current problems either created intentionally or because of visioned impaired of all parties entered into 12 point Delhi deal is : either reviving 1990 constitution or to hold broader round-table political conference comprising of all stake holders including institution of crown. It's for sure,if broader unity among all nationalist forces not been initializing the fate of nation could not be saved.
