Nepal Maoists entered PP upon realizing BPs compromise theory: Sushil

The Nepali Congress’s Sushil Koirala commented a day after on the formation of the so-called ‘Federal Democratic Alliance’ between government partners calling it yet another ploy to continue being in power.

At a book launching program held in Kathmandu, August 10, 2012, Koirala talked least of the volume and its author but criticized ruling Unified Maoists party much.

Habits die hard.

Koirala seemed to have been dismayed by the ruling parties trying to portray his party and his communist brothers, the UML, as anti federal force.

The NC and UML were not invited at the meeting held a day before at prime minister’s residence between forces that favor constitution with identity based federalism.

Koirala complained, “We are in favor of federalism in real sense. They are only trying to fool the population.”

“The Maoists have been calling for ethnicity-based federalism which is unacceptable to us,” he said.

Launching the book penned by Dr. Narayan Chalise, Sushil Koirala opined that late BPs thoughts were still relevant and need to be brought into practice both in words and deeds.

During the course of his speech, Koirala made a funny claim wherein he stated that the Maoists entered into the peace process only after realizing the inner meaning of late BP’s peace and reconciliation theory.

Old hangover still persists.

The Old NC top hat should understand that it was not BPs theory but the hospitality expert NOIDA veterans who sent the Maoists back to Kathmandu. Albeit late Girija Prasad Koirala ( Rest in peace) was made the suitable carrier by the Indian establishment.
