Senior United Marxist Leninist leader K.P. Sharma Oli clarified at a press meet, August 8, 2012, that he did not asked for India’s blessings to become next prime minister of Nepal during his freshly concluded private trip to India.
“I went to India for a routine health checkup but, not to beg for India’s blessings”, Oli said and added, “If I would be the Prime Minister then it would be with the support of Nepali people not from India.”
Which Nepali people? Is he talking of the ones who are taken as 12 point Nepali leaders?
Self defeating talk.
He however, did not say whether India’s blessing is needed to become Nepal’s Prime Minister?
The press meet was organized by Press Chautari in Bhaktapur.
Oli also said that the revival of the ‘proven failed’ constituent assembly will only deteriorate country’s politics further.
