UML asks Nepal PM to speak details of Origin of foreign intrusion: Report

Telegraph Nepal

The United Marxist Leninist Standing Committee meeting held August 5, 2012, has asked Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai to make clear the ‘origin of foreign interference’.

Baburam in his interaction with a select group of press men, Friday August 3, 2012 had complained about pressures being exerted by immediate neighbors, India and China on the internal matters of Nepal.

According to Kantipur Daily Baburam had said, “You are well aware that one of our neighbors has made its view clear over federalism. You are also aware of what happened at time of appointment of government’s chief secretary.”

“Our key lay elsewhere. But we cannot also submit ourselves”, Baburam had also said.

“Prime Minister has himself accepted that there is foreign interference”, UML Secretary Bishnu Poudel told the media adding, “In a democratic setup the prime minister must make clear where from such an interference is coming.”

Poudel could ask, analysts suggest, this very question to his own party senior Madhav Kumar Nepal. If Madhav is sincere then he must tell as to how he was, an election defeated one though, became the country’s Prime Minister and mercilessly ruled the nation for over 23 months which included some space and time for the completion of his MBBS Doctor daughter's wedding ceremony. Which foreign force had elevated him (Madhav) perhaps would be the answer of PM Bhattarai if grilled. But who will beld such wild cats?

In the UML meeting, K.P. Sharma Oli who had recently visited New Delhi along with Bidya Devi Bhandari had briefed about his meetings with the Indian leaders.

Oli said at the meeting, “I found that the Indian leaders want Nepal’s internal problems to be resolved by the Indian themselves.”

So why he rushed to see Poltru dada who had instructed May 3, 2009, Nepal President to reinstate then Army Chief, Rukmangad Katwal. India’s direct interference that it was then as revealed by Naya Patrika daily. Later Shyam saran too admitted of such a shameful interference.

Does this mean that the UML does not believe that no interference is coming from the South or even if it is then just wants to ignore for a variety of reasons? Birds of same feather generally flock together.

Senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal told the media that the party leaders are unanimous in  bringing to the footh path this government through another andolan.

Kharcha kasaley diney ni Madhav Babu? Will NOIDA pay against NOIDA?

  • As if intrusion didn't take place during CPN MLA's time! they should put this question to themselves.

  • All these lots are in too deep to do anything, be answerable, or have a standing. It's lhe charcters of these lots that is in question. I blame we for having hands in letting them sale us down the river. Even a rickshaw pulled knows the truth but we act as hands are tied. Sitting prime minister outright states " key is somewhere else". On What moral ground does he hold on to chair. Once Nepal and Nepali meant brave, loyal and trust worthy. Now it's just opposite. You will know this if you travel. Shame has been brought upon us and it will mar our future generations to come I.e., if they are still called Nepali rather than with hyphenated word attached.
