Nepali Congress Prez in mental stress, says if he fails, party will fail

Frail Nepali Congress President has now begun feeling the heat.

Troubles from the Maoists apart, as was expected, he is feeling the frying pan heat right inside from his own party colleagues which he admitted himself, August 2, 2012.

“My own colleagues from inside the party were hell bent on proving me as an incompetent and unsuccessful leader and thus I fervently request you all to take measures to foil these designs aimed against me”, so appealed Koirala to the NC district Presidents.

He made this appeal to the District presidents, Thursday, August 2, 2012, who had come to see him in Kathmandu.  

I have ever tried to run the party forging consensus but yet I am made the target and bids were on to make me a failure, lamented Koirala adding that “ I should be made aware of my faults, if any, and if some lapses have been noticed from my side then I am ready to correct those mistakes”.

“But are my colleagues in the party ready to correct their own mistakes”, questioned an irritated Koirala.

A sentimental Koirala even declared that “If I am made to fail, rest assured the entire Nepali Congress will fail”.

Yet some of the district Presidents urged Koirala to take required initiatives in order to get rid of the present political stalemate by assuming the command of the next Nepal Government.

President Koirala appears to have already become a broken personality from within. A typhoon is in the making inside the NC presumably.

Analysts sympathise.

• Deuba ji had reunited with the main party from where he had broken off but the events which followed thereafter was not to his liking or in his favour. He had presumed that for all practical purposes he was to be the party president after GP Koirala.That is the main reason for present NC chairman's nightmare!
