Nepal Maoists plenum disturbed, Militia believe their money embezzled

Telegraph Nepal

The former Maoists combatants who were present at the ongoing party plenum in Kathmandu, July 18, 2012, looked in a mood to physically attack the party leadership for what they alleged ‘embezzlement of funds’.

The Unified Maoists Party led by Chairman Pushpa Kamal is holding seventh extended plenum meet of the party central committee in Kathmandu.

With the former Maoists fighters disrupting the proceedings, the meeting was called off on Wednesday.

To recall, Sanghu weekly had earlier reported quoting sources that Chairman Dahal and his coterie have gulped tentatively Rs. 10 Billion from the fund allocated by the government to the Maoists cantonment combatants.

“There are evidences of the direct involvement of Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Barsaman Pun, Janardan Sharma ‘Prabhakar’, Nanda Kishor Pun Pasang, Chandra Prakash Khanal ‘Baldev’ and some other PLA commanders”, Sanghu reported.

“Of the total amount earmarked by the state for the PLA, Rs. 9.5 Billion have been solely swallowed up by the Chairman himself,” the weekly quoted an unnamed Maoists leader as saying.

May be out of this money, Prakash Dahal eloped with his share? But not sure.

On Wednesday, the Maoists fighters took over the rostrum and chanted slogans demanding immediate action against the culprits.

  • You reap what you sow. You can fool people sometime but not all the time. You live by sword, expect to die by sword. Neo Samanti a.k.a top rung Maoist leader better open up the hatch or their own gonna button it down. Nepali are down to earth people, easy to sale dreams and exploit but even they have threshold. The anger will manifest by the khukhari, if they feel they have sold down the river and this happening.

  • Ram Hari Shrestha was killed by these mad dogs only on the basis of doubt. So, why they are not killing Prachande and his gang members who have amassed billions of Rupees. Evidence is obvious, big buildings, big cars, expensive suits, and 5 star dinner.

  • I am not anti-Maoist, but the Maoist leaders are got fizzle out due to their unlimited corruptions and looting and funding money in deferent Banks.. They have forgotten all the commitments of Nepalese people. Then, why are the foreigners backing the Maoists to end Nepal’s dignity? The question is easy. The Maoist party contains a faction of Christians and by instilling fear of the Maoist army they want to turn Nepal into a Christian state. The Nepalese Newspapers had published the report when Prachanda resigned from his cabinet formed after CA election and visited Switzerland with Baburam Bhattarai to deposit Rs. 10 billion. The editorial of the American newspaper ‘News Blaze’ published in California had clarified on this issue and published an article by Halasi Bas-Assistant Manager of the Central Bank of Switzerland, writes an impassionate article that Nepali people must take initiative to take the money deposited by Maoists. If you want the full portion of the Bank Balancing please search google > “Maoists’ huge amount of money from Indian Banks to major Swiss Banks:‘ Then, we can read all the article by Halasi Bas. ‘The leaders of the Maoist party including ministers of the present Nepal government, namely, Prachanda (Pushpa K. Dahal), Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, Krishna Mahara, Hishila Yami and others were here to transfer a huge amount of money from Indian Banks to major Swiss Banks. This story sounds very unlikely primarily because the Maoists have not been that long at the helm in Kathmandu. Also they have been able to ‘flash an uncorrupted image’ to date to the people as they tell ‘proletariat's’. It has also been said that some European Union members are helping the Maoists to transfer money to Swiss Banks.’ So, the Maoist leaders have collected huge of money and they are known corrupted groups in Nepalese politics. Thank you. D.R. Prasai
