Nepal PM scared, expects attack from party critics at plenum

Telegraph Nepal

Prime Minister and Vice Chairman of Unified Maoists’ Party Baburam is well aware that his detractors will make him the prime target at the extended plenum meet of the party central committee.

Baburam held secret talks at the Prime Minister’s residence with the party leaders-close to him and have come all the way from various districts.

He warned them that including him they could also be targeted by their detractors.

“Ideologically we have won. Still, we have no other option than to unite with the panel led by the Chairman but yet the organizational level struggle will continue. We will continue to become their target.”

Baburam believes that issues of ‘nationalism, national sovereignty and his excessive closer relations with the Indian establishment will be brought forcefully during the meeting.
