The Chairman of Nepal Communist Party-Maoist, Mohan Baidya Kiran Pokharel is heading towards China, today July 15, 2012, at the invitation of ruling Communist Party of China.
Kiran will be accompanied by the party politburo member Indra Mohan Sigdel.
The head of International Department, Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, Ai Ping, had recently in his visit to Nepal had forwarded the invitation.
Mr. Ai had also invited Chairman Pushpa Kamal of Unified Maoists, President Sushil Koirala of Nepali Congress and Chairman Jhalnath of United Marxist Leninist to visit China.
Reports quote Sigdel as saying that during their stay in China, they will be meeting Chinese Communist Party leaders belonging to different tiers.
During the meetings with high ranking Chinese leaders, talks will mainly focus on further enhancing ties between the two countries and deepening ties between the two communist parties.
Chinese diplomacy now begins in Nepal with Mohan Baidya. Baidya Ba must have been in an excited state. Yet his excitement may cause some irritation to some somewhere in the vicinity.
Mohan Baidya has set the ball rolling.
