Nepal King was about to flee country, no accord: recalls Khanal

Telegraph Nepal

Chairman Jhalanath of United Marxist Leninist Party who has virtually lost his political credibility ridiculed Nepal’s former King Gyanendra Shah’s claim that the then agitating seven party alliances had reached an agreement with him to retain the institution of monarchy.

Khanal is by all means taken as a weak political personality. Sunsari’s Devi Prasad Regmi knows him better.

“Gyanendra is lying with the general public,” he said while addressing a press meet in Dhangadi, July 9, 2012.

“The agitation was at its peak. He was about to run away. At that time there was no need to reach an agreement with a person who was about to flee. We all know under what circumstances he had become the king and later had to quit.”

“He is trying to garner benefit out of the current fluid political situation prevailing in the country. His efforts to revive monarchy is a day dream only”, said Khanal.

“Travelling across the temples he is trying to fish in the troubled waters. He might have felt that his dreams to revive monarchy would come to true just because a few people gather to welcome him”.

Khanal suspected that foreign forces have been provoking him to become active.

Khanal did not however, reveal if the same alien force that was behind the birth of the republican order was supporting the former king.

  • Richest persons in Nepal is none but Prachanda, Hisila, Pun , Mehera and Janardan sharma and many more from the same party. From where the money comes from? Will poor Nepali comprehend? They were looting the banks and people before and now they are looting the country. We need to throw them in jail and take their stolen riches right away. Let them go to jungle again. How a person living in a 350 million palace will survive on the hay bed in jungle? The Maosts are dividing the country in the name of ethnic identity and undo what THE GREATEST PRITHVINARAYAN DID TO UNITE NEPAL. Current politicians so called leaders are nothing but parasites of the country and they all need to be purge like a hookworm in the gut along with the stool. Wake up Nepal, wake up. It is too late in the morning to start a day long work. You all know, the masters in the southside is playing game to bring back the old system to counter balance the current one and cancell each other to make their job easy and appear to be not involved. Baburam asked for blessing recently but got nothing. You know , south is not pro Nepal or communist or in that matter monarchy but play their old master's lession" divide and rule" . May God save Nepal.

  • Although I endorse a form of limited monarchy.,I think the former King is cooking up this particular story. He should have a copy before commenting on such a sensitive issue. This statement further erodes whatever chances Gyanendra has of making a comeback of sorts.

  • You get slapped in public whereas he is welcomed like a savior. Jhalanath ta chor daka hos. Ek mahina pradhan mantri huna lai desh bechna taiyaar hune manche hos ta. Sooner or later politicians like you will be wiped out. If not Gyanendra then some other nation loving person will crush cockroaches like you. At least Gyanendra visits temple to pray for Nepal. You blood suckers only spend all the country's money in taking vacations in resorts. Khali desh lai bhadya cha, bideshi ko khutta molya cha. Saale kukkur haru.

  • I believe we are all fed up of Nepali politics. What has the four long years bought? Increase in corruption, blaming each other, social security lost, more insecurity among people, greed for power and many more. But leaders have put a deaf ear to these entire above allegation. Allow the common man Gyanendra Shah to express himself. Whenever he speak, leaders counter attack him. Is this freedom of speech? If the television interview was false then prove it. Go to his residence and get him arrested. But don’t give the unwanted warning, if you can prove it. We should open a gentleman club in Nepal and strip and throw some coins on you all. Come on people be serious, don’t play blaming game on each other. On the other hand I know you all fear if shah comes to power. The condition will be very miserable so put on ya pants and work towards development. DID YOU FORGET THE SLAP DO YOU WANT MORE
