General Secretary Krishna Prasad Sitaula of Nepali Congress has challenged former King Gyanendra Shah to make public the agreement that he claims to have reached with the then agitating seven party alliances before handing over executive powers to the Prime Minister.
In an interview with Prem Baniya of News 24 Television channel, the former king, July 8, 2012, had claimed sic, “There were few points but were very clear. Whatever they had demanded was fulfilled which were not at all difficult for me. Restoration of parliament, appointment of a prime minister representing the political parties, constitutional monarchy and multiparty democracy were some of the points in the deal….”
“His remarks are totally false…he is lying,” claimed Sitaula at an interaction program held in Kathmandu, July 9, 2012.
“He is making claims over something that does not exist,” reiterated the NC leader.
“No one expects a former head of the state to make false claims”, he adds.
Situala who is one of the kingpins of the Darfur Scam continued, “No Nepali citizens will ever accept Gyanendra’s dreams to revive the institution of monarchy.”
Sudan scam perhaps has already been shelved.
