The former Speaker of the now dead Constituent Assembly body, Subhash Nembang, has said that the election for this November announced by PM Bhattarai can’t be conducted.
The former Speaker of the CA body is a UML man who made these observations on behalf of the party.
“Nobody can do anything ignoring the provisions as stipulated in the interim constitution”, added Nembang.
He further said that the election announcement made by caretaker Prime Minister was in itself an unconstitutional one.
Creating panic in the minds of the laymen, Nembang said that since the country had already entered into the dark tunnel and thus that way to get out of this burrow would be either forging a political consensus among the parties or a fresh revolution to be sponsored by the people.
He, however, did not mention his own share in pushing the country into this dark hole?
He further opined that the locomotive that has been derailed must be brought back to its original track which could be one of the best options for the country.
Look his lust for Chair wherein he says that it would be even better if the dead CA body is awarded a new lease of life.
Greed has no limit perhaps.
He apparently hurled the entire blame onto the heads of the Maoists for failing to draft the new constitution. The NC and the UML men have made it a habit to accuse the Maoists.
To recall, both the NC and the UML brought the Maoists from Nai Dilli.
He even said that the authority that lay in the hands of the Nepal President for unknotting the present day political mess was also an impractical proposition.
By implication, Nembang discourages the President not to act in haste.
Nevertheless, the former Speaker, who enjoyed State facilities for over four years, maintained that if the political parties fail to arrive at a consensus, the chances remain high that the people may summarily declare the interim constitution as null and void.
he made these remarks in Jhapa district July 3, 2012.
