The highly talkative leader of the UML, Khadga Prasad Oli has said that the dead Constituent Assembly body can’t be awarded a new lease of life.
Clarifying his statement further, Oli claimed that the CA body when in existence had remained the hostage of indecisiveness of the political parties and thus even if it was revived, the body yet can’t draft the constitution for the country.
“In my opinion, the talk of reviving the CA body thus becomes redundant and would not be a viable alternative at all”, added Oli.
Cutting a joke at the political parties, Oli said that the CA body which summarily failed to draft the constitution in the past so its revival would have no meaning as such.
“Since the incumbent Prime Minister has already lost his constitutional authority in remaining in power so it would be advisable to him to quit the chair and facilitate an environment for the formation of a national consensus government”, Oli pushed his idea.
“This could be the best alternative for the time being”, Oli continued.
According to the UML leader, since the Nepali Congress was under the seduction of the Maoists so the next command of the government may come to the pocket of his own party-the UML.
Unsubstantiated reports have it that New Delhi may any time soon elevate the ranks of this UML leader as Oli is presumed to be an intimate friend of the Indian establishment. Oli made these remarks in Damak, Jhapa district July 3, 2012 while talking to the media from Press Chautari, Damak.
After all, it is Nai Dilli that has been kind enough to provide Nepal with a Prime Minister beginning 1950s.
Unfortunate mother Nepal.
