Ai Ping, deputy head of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee leading a high profile delegation landed Kathmandu late evening June 29, 2012.
The team has arrived Nepal to take note of Nepal’s political ups and downs after the dissolution of constituent assembly.
In a brief encounter with the media at the Tribhuwan International Airport, Mr. Ai said that China was always in favor of a peaceful and stable Nepal.
He also informed that during his three day stay in Kathmandu, he will meet Nepali political leaders.
The team led by Ai will be meeting leaders of various political parties including President Ram Baran, Prime Minister Baburam, Deputy PM and Home Minister Bijaya Kumar Gacchedhar and Foreign Minister Narayan Kaji, it has been reported.
Speaks of increasing Chinese interest in Nepal. Perhaps it will enlarge more in the days ahead.
