Mahat hopes Nepal Prez will sack PM, Dr. Yadav meets RAW Chief June 13

Telegraph Nepal

The Nepali Congress central committee member Prakash Saran Mahat while addressing a program in capital Kathmandu, July 23, 2012, has claimed that President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav was all set to sack Prime Minister Baburam if he does not tender his resignation voluntarily upon return from Brazil.

Will Bhattarai submit his resignation in a silver plate?

Notably, Baburam while attending the Rio+20 Summit in Brazil has met with Indian Prime Minister Man Mohan Singh.

It all depends on what Singh has advised Bhattarai rather than heeding to pressure exerted by the failed local leaders of failed political parties, critics claim.

What Singh decides or has already decided should be final for Bhattarai and by extension to Nepali politics.

To recall, Prime Minister Baburam had while addressing a mass meet organized by the party only recently in Kathmandu had threatened that if the President sacks him ‘unconstitutionally’ will in turn threaten the very position of the president himself.

Will Nepal President dare to act as per the wishes of Dr. Mahat?

Prakash Saran’s remarks have come at a time when media reports claim that President Yadav had only recently met with the Chief of India’s notorious intelligence agency, RAW.

The RAW Chief Sanjeev Tirpathi had met the President twice, reports Jana-Ahwan National Weekly dated June 22, 2012.

His Excellency Tripathi had quietly sneaked into the Presidential secretariat in a private car, June 13, 2012.

The Presidential secretariat had ordered the security men at the main entrance to allow the person to enter without any hurdles.

Analysts presume that RAW Chief, Ambassador Tripathi, may still be hanging around Kathmandu as he has several Nepali arms to twist. The process must have been in progress.

More follows:

The Presidential secretariat had ordered the security men at the main entrance to allow the person to enter without any hurdles, the Jan Ahwan weekly writes further.

Initially, the security men at the main gate thought that the person in the car could be a leader of a Nepal's Madhesh based party but they came to know later that he was the chief of RAW.

The Jan Ahwan report further adds, “Tripathi had asked the President to follow his instructions.”

Tripathi while in Kathmandu had also met with Deputy Prime Minister Bijaya Kumar Gacchedhar.

The weekly also claims that the formation of Nepal Communist Party-Maoist led by Chairman Mohan Baidya Kiran had taken place immediately after Tripahti returned to India.

Or was is present in Kathmandu?

In the meantime, reports have it that Chairman Mohan Baidya Kiran of Nepal Communist Party-Maoist is scheduled to meet President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav today.

Should this mean that Nepal President is providing recognition to this new party led by Baidya Ba?

  • Yes, maoists deiepvrd us from our genuine right to vote and yet there were many including this writer, were blindly supportive of their motive. Seems people are awakened from maoist illusion and I hope the trend will continue and grow. The only way to make a peaceful wayout is to voice distaste ,disappoval, dissapointment, anguish against Maoists and SPAs, which will ultimately make them realize that there are not many people besides their own cadres behind them. They are actually isolated from people and it's our duty to let them know that. As SPA went sati' with maoists there is actually political vaccum prevalent in the country, sooner it is fulfilled the better!!

  • No one should dare suggest(which amounts to ordering the president!). It is a high class rumour! President by now is well versed with situation in the country.I still remember the first incidence when PM Prachanda had to tender resignation on "MORAL" ground!
