Telegraph Nepal
Infuriated by the decision of the party hardliner panel led by Senior Vice Chairman Mohan Baidya Kiran to give a formal shape to a new communist party e.g. Nepal Communist Party, Maoist, a close chum of Chairman Pushpa Kamal of Unified Maoists and a party politburo member Hari Bol Gajurel who had just a day before called the party split a conspiracy of RIM (Revolutionary Internationalist Movement) has added two more dimensions into it.
“The Revolutionary Internationalist Movement (RIM) always wanted the party to split”, he thus presented his first hypothesis. He must be a brilliant Maoists.
If Gajurel is to be believed then Nepal’s former Royalty is also behind the party split, which is the second dimension to the party split.
Brilliance par excellence.
“The Baidya panel has rejected the 12-Point Agreement. The royalists never supported the deal. This has made certain that the Nepal’s former royal palace is also behind the party split.” Logic is there.
In an interaction with the Avenues Television Channel, June 19, 2012, Gajurel also claimed, “In the name of preserving nationalism and national interest a day will soon come when they will declare their alliance with the former royal palace.”
Very interesting forecast.
When asked if he stills considers ‘royal palace’- though the institution has still been sidelined, as a strong political force, Gajurel accepted though reluctantly that there are people who still support monarchy.
Fact admitted.
“We are yet to institutionalize the republican order. People of the sort of Kamal Thapa have begun claiming that with parties failing to draft the constitution, the country’s political situation has went back to the days prior to that of the CA election and thus the monarchy should be restored. In such a situation the split in the party and the public denial of the party led by Baidya Ji to the drafting of constitution through the constituent assembly makes everything so clear”.
He, however, did not reveal as to which force on earth is backing his own splinter party?
Gajurel also claimed that he feels no sorry in that India had a role to play while Nepal’s political leaders signed the 12-Points Agreement in New Delhi.
“It is an open secret that India was behind the signing of 12-Points Agreement. Our party shared good relations with India during that time”, he said.
When asked if India had been using the Unified Maoists party to serve their political interest in Nepal, replies a determined Gajurel, “In politics no one supports the other without any political gains. India is no different. Look unity and disagreement are a dynamic process. We had good relations with India during 12-Points Agreement. We had the international support at that time. With India, the relation turned sour when Prachanda became the Prime Minister. India had conflict (antarbirodh) with Nepal’s royal palace. They thus came closer to us to get rid of the institution.”
Million dollar revelation.
The third and final dimension to the party split according to Gajurel is the connection of India’s notorious intelligence agency, RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) in the party split.
This he had disclosed at an interaction with journalists, June 19, 2012.
“The people who have declared party split have been in close contacts with the agents of RAW”, he also claimed.
