US based RIM encouraged Nepal Maoists party split: Gajurel

Telegraph Nepal

The conspiracy to split the former largest party in the constituent assembly Unified Maoists according to some was there for long.

Claims Hari Bol Gajurel of Unified Maoists, considered as one of the close chums of Chairman Pushpa Kamal, says the party split was a ‘grand design’.

The grand design according to Gajurel was plotted by none other than Revolutionary Internationalist Movement (RIM)-the headquarters of which is believed to be based in United States.

“Our leaders had a long term plan devised in coordination with RIM to split the party”, he said and added, “The Baidya group is anti-peace and anti-constitution. They had been trying this for long time.”

Claims Gajurel, the split will make no difference to the Unified Maoists party as such.

Similarly, said spokesperson Dinanath Sharma the party will hold an emergency meeting to discuss the fresh scenario.

How the RIM reacts to such allegations will have to be watched.
