Talking to the BBC-Nepali Service, Friday May 25, 2012 one of the Chinese Professors associated with the ‘China Institute of Contemporary International Relations’ has told in an indirect manner that ‘India was plotting split of Nepal’s Tarai- partly or completely’.
Director of the Institute, Professor Hu Si Seng claimed that some Indian diplomats were aiding the disintegration process.
“Reports have already that some diplomats have begun provoking local politicians. I do not want to name any country as such but such acts will only deteriorate the matter further”, he said and added, “Chinese experts have begun suspecting that due to instability in Madhesh, southern part of Nepal could disintegrate partly or completely. In that situation Nepal will become very weak.”
He also claimed that Janajati community could also imitate the Madhesis and the country could eventfully fall into another spree of violence and bloodshed.
“I am not certain if India is supporting (disintegration) but it could be that some local groups might have been in contact with some departments of the Indian government and countries outside South Asia could also be behind these incidents”, he also claimed.
In the course of the interview, the Chinese professor also claimed that external interference in the internal matters of Nepal is at its peak.
He claimed that not only the US and India but China is also interfering in Nepal’s internal matters.
