Writ petitions against CA term extension filed at Apex Court

Telegraph Nepal

Demanding punishment against Prime Minister Baburam and Deputy Prime Minister Krishna Prasad Sitaula, a writ petition has been filed at the Supreme Court.

The case of ‘contempt of court’ was filed by advocate Kamal Prasad against the two leaders for registering a Bill demanding the extension of the term of the Constituent Assembly by three more months- which the petition claims, ignores the Supreme Court deadline of May 27, 2012.

A full five member bench of Nepal’s Supreme Court including Chief justice Khil Raj Regmi, November 25, 2011, in its verdict over the fate of Constituent Assembly had declared that the term could only be extended “for the last time and that too for six months only”.

Similarly, yet another petition was filed by Bharatmani Jungam, Advocate Balkrishna Neupane, Raj Kumar Rana, Chandra Lal Shrestha, Jagdev Chaudhary and Kanchan Krishna Neupane demanding a stay order against the government bill forwarded in order to extend the CA life.

The CA in the past has been injected “life saving syrup” several times by Medical practitioners across the border. Someone called Dr. Singh is talked to have led the Indian medical team.

The writ petition is filed against the Prime Minister, Cabinet Secretariat, Constituent Assembly and Parliamentary Secretariat, Chairman Pushpa Kamal of Unified Maoists, UML Chairman Jhalnath and Nepali Congress leader Ram Chandra Poudel.

By the way, Court is the last hope.
