Nepali Cong leader K.C. demands referendum for federalism

Telegraph Nepal

Better late than never, sense seems to have prevailed albeit gradually among a very few Nepali Congress leaders.

The party central committee member, Arjun Nar Singh K.C., expressed his sheer frustration on the unfolding political events through issuing a press statement, Tuesday May 23, 2012.

K.C. has demanded a referendum to decide over the fate of federalism which, he claims, was necessary to resolve disputes between various ethnic communities that has been pushing the nation towards a civil war.

“There is no alternative to a referendum to resolve disputes between communities.”

“Bids are afoot to push the country to yet another round of violence and disrupt age-old communal harmony,” also claims K.C. in his statement.

  • A referendum should be held for throne and crown as well to see what we all nepalese think about our pride and cultural heritage. It was thrown out without asking us by these three (now four with madhise party)corporate mafia gang leaders of NC, UML, and of course Maoists. Yet another referendum should be held side by side about the fait of these thugs and send them a life imprisonment without payrol.
