Poudel suspects Nepal PM inner intent, verbal attack exchanged

Ram Chandra Poudel told Prime Minister Baburam pointblank, “We can clearly see that you are not at all interested in drafting the constitution.”

Thankfully the two leaders only exchanged fiery words but did not attack one another physically. Or else Poudel will have tasted the JNU first blow.

This interesting event took place on Friday May 11, 2012, at the recently acquired posh bungalow of ‘proletarian leader’ and Chairman of Unified Maoists party Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

The Nepali Congress and Unified Maoists leaders during Friday afternoon sat to resolve issues of disputes.

President Sushil of NC viewed at the meeting that the government should immediately summon the parliament for constitutional amendments as it was getting late to shorten the process of constitution drafting.

Baburam all of a sudden turned angry and said, “Why don’t we first resolve our disputes first. I will summon the parliament after we resolve our disputes.”

Poudel who could not resist the India groomed Maoists leader and Prime Minister Baburam’s humiliating expressions made towards President Sushil, the old NC horse, he replied, “Enough… we can clearly observe that you are not at all interested in drafting the constitution.”

“I would like to remind you that without amending clause 70 we cannot promulgate the constitution on May 28. Your intentions have made us clear that you are least interested”.

Yet the mass is eagerly waiting to see Nepali political actors flexing their muscles. Time permitting, this will happen.

• Nepal is on the verge of a true civil war grounded on race, religion and caste all in one one complex enigmatic conundrum. Sadly, as the King is no more, so all have to look up to New Delhi and its hapless ambassador --much more a diplomat than the last one! Once China enters the fray things will become even more insurmountable as Indian policy on Nepal would have failed.
