Ms. Sujata Koirala is not at all happy with the decision allowing Krishna Prasad Sitaula leading the NC party team in the government under Maoists’ Prime Minister Baburam.
Ms. Koirala is also of the view that Nepali Congress should recall Sitaula from government since the United Marxist Leninist has decided against joining the government.
“The Nepali Congress decision to stay away from the UML will have its negative impact in the overall political scenario,” Ms. Sujata claimed while addressing a program in Lamjung May 8, 2012.
Similarly, in an interview with Ghatna Ra Bichar Weekly, Sujata has claimed that, “If the UML opts out of the government, the Nepali Congress as its long-term partner should also recall Sitaula from the government. The government without UML in no terms could be taken as a government formed enjoying consensus.”
When asked if her annoyance was because she was not made the Deputy Prime Minister Sujata replies, “I do not want DPM portfolio for ten days. I do not want to disclose everything at this juncture but the entire Nepali population knows how he was elevated to the DPM post.”
“I do not want to discuss the issue anymore,” she said when grilled further by the weekly newspaper.
