Sitaula ignores NC no confidence motion against Nepal PM

Krishna Prasad Sitaula of Nepali Congress with Sudan scam feather in his cap has expressed his serious reservations over the party decision to file a no confidence motion against Baburam government.

To recall, reports had it that Sitaula had freshly met with a high ranking official of India’s notorious intelligence agency, RAW, Arun Kumar Sinha in Kathmandu and got sermons to start lobbying within the Nepali Congress party to join the present Maoist-Madhesi Coalition government.

As per reports, the RAW functionary had also assured Sitaula of Home Ministerial portfolio if he succeeded in his mission. Could be? Nepal desk Chief Akhilesh Misra too was in town around that time.

Sitaula had made his reservations at the joint meeting of Nepali Congress’s Central Committee and the Parliamentary delegation, May 1, 2012.

Sitaula has ever remained inclined towards the Unified Maoists Party since signing of the most-humiliating and anti-national 12 Point Agreement in New Delhi by Nepal’s’ subservient political actors.

“I am ready to accept any decisions taken by the party leadership but, I will not accept the decision to file a no confidence motion against the present government. I still believe that we should continue with our focus for consensus”.

The 12 point solid love remains.

Sitaula must have felt that the no-confidence motion goes against the spirit of India forced 12-Point Agreement. People in Nepal believe that as and when Sitaula speaks, he ventilates the Indian mind.

However, Ram Saran Mahat of the same party later told media, “We all accept that there is no alternative to consensus but the option to file no confidence motion should also be kept open as the Maoists continue to deceive the parties. The party top hats will soon make a decision.”

Reports further add, the meeting finally decided to leave the issue of ‘no-confidence motion’ for the party top leaders Sushil, Ram Chandra and Sher Bahadur to decide.
