Nepal Janakpur bloodbath: sad event could be beginning of the end

Telegraph Nepal

Janakpur- abode of Hindu goddess ‘Mata Sita’ turned into a killing field where 4 people died on the spot and more than 28 were left injured in a deadliest explosion that took place in the entire history of the ancient city, April 30, 2012.

The unwanted and unwarranted Federalism bloodshed which took the lives of the innocents. Beginning of the End perhaps!

Fourteen seriously injured were immediately air lifted to Kathmandu.

Bimalsaran Das Kurmi, Ranju Jha, Suresh Upadhyaya and Jhagaru Das lost their precious lives. We condole the untimely deaths.

Kurmi died on the spot whereas Jha, Upadhyaya and Das were declared dead at a nearby by hospital.

India based Janatanrrik Tarai Mukti Morcha (Rajan Mukti) has taken the responsibility for carrying out the explosion.

The explosion took place when a peaceful sit-in protest program was being organized at Ramananda Chowk demanding the formation of a separate Mithila State.

The Raj Mukti group claimed that demands that go against formation of independent Madhesh will not be tolerated.

The ghastly act deserves deep condemnation.

  • Severely condemn to cowardice act of criminals.May departed souls rest in eternal peace and heartfelt condolence to affected families.Undoubtedly, its a Beginning of the End due to adverse result of so-called federalism.Indeed, nation needs full-fledged decentralization of powers up-to local level in order to address the real demand of people but not a federalism. Its for sure nation could not digest federalism and unwanted and unwarranted incident like Janakpur blood-bath likely to take place in large numbers if leaders imposed the federalism for their political and personal gains. In reality,so-called 'People's war'could be taken as modern mother of blood-bath related politics of Nepal under which inspiration such bloodshed incidents have been promoted.
