Janakpur- abode of Hindu goddess ‘Mata Sita’ turned into a killing field where 4 people died on the spot and more than 28 were left injured in a deadliest explosion that took place in the entire history of the ancient city, April 30, 2012.

Fourteen seriously injured were immediately air lifted to Kathmandu.
Bimalsaran Das Kurmi, Ranju Jha, Suresh Upadhyaya and Jhagaru Das lost their precious lives. We condole the untimely deaths.
Kurmi died on the spot whereas Jha, Upadhyaya and Das were declared dead at a nearby by hospital.
India based Janatanrrik Tarai Mukti Morcha (Rajan Mukti) has taken the responsibility for carrying out the explosion.
The explosion took place when a peaceful sit-in protest program was being organized at Ramananda Chowk demanding the formation of a separate Mithila State.
The Raj Mukti group claimed that demands that go against formation of independent Madhesh will not be tolerated.
The ghastly act deserves deep condemnation.
