Prolific writer and senior journalist Yuba Raj Ghimire in his exclusive write-up for Annapurna Post, April 27, 2012, claims that bids are afoot also to exterminate Nepali Congress Party from Nepali politics in a manner much similar to the institution of monarchy.
New twist in Nepali politics if the design is so as expressed by this media veteran.
“The Unified Maoists party wants to keep the Nepali Congress and United Marxist Leninist party engaged in endless talks while reinforcing the Maoist-Madhesi alliance. The Maoists objective is to label the Nepali Congress and United Marxist Leninist as reactionaries. This is perhaps the main reason for deviations observed in the constitution drafting process of late”, Ghimire observes.
“On the one hand the Nepali Congress leadership has become ineffectual, and on the other, the party leadership has failed to contemplate that two mysterious persons of the party itself (?) have kept the party at a bay from taking part in the important political processes. They sole objective is to ensure complete sidelining of the Nepali Congress in the manner similar to the institution of monarchy.”
“Rather than drafting constitution in favour of the country and people, the conspiracy is to weaken the country and ensure environment favourable to outside interference (mainly for donors)”, also claimed Ghimire.
But which donor? Clever Ghimire remains tight lipped.
