Indian SSB men rape Nepali girl en masse, nation stunned

The Shasastra Sheema Bal (SSB)- India’s armed border security force deployed along the border with Nepal, has once again grabbed media headlines in Nepal.

The SSB which is synonymous to ‘India’s Killing Machine’ mainly deployed to terrorize poor Nepali citizens living along the border has been grabbing headlines for regularly thrashing, raping, looting and also sending trained dogs to grab domesticated animals from the Nepali territory.

Even the Indian dogs challenge Nepali Prime Minister. So pathetic.

However, the ghastly incident that took place in the district of Taplejung, April 25, 2012, will be remembered by the Nepali citizens for long time to come.

Understandably, the event has at least become an eighth page stuff for some big media and some have deliberately ignored the incident whose reasons could be easily understood. The political actors who are extremely busy charting the Nepali fate will obviously adopt a quiet posture. Or else the same “dogs” could be sent to their private homes by the friends across the border. The fear factor or subservience?

Kanchan Tamang- a resident of Prangbung VDC-3 aged 20 years had gone towards the bordering area known as Char-Rate along with her six brothers and sisters and a friend.  Kanchan was eldest in the group.

According to Milan Tamang who had accompanied Kanchan says, “Kanchan was taking photographs while having food with her brothers and sisters. The SSB from a nearby post all of a sudden arrested her. After she was arrested we ran away. We informed the villagers about her arrest. The villagers made a group and went towards the SSB post. A completely naked Kanchan was later released from the post.”

According to reports that quote the victim and villagers, the SSB men had raped her en masse.

There is no reason to be anti-Indian! Professor N. K. Srivastav! Are you listening? But the reasons are aplenty such as this one.

Nepal PM is helpless and the Nepali leaders will hopefully hush-hush the ghastly incident but the national population remains stunned.

Hopefully, the Indian Prime Minister will bring in some trained dogs to 'train' Nepali leaders. Dr. Singh is shortly to visit Nepal.

  • Minor quibble: the coimsnmit and maoist are separate parties in Nepal. The present crisis was precipitated when the commies pulled out of government when the PM fired the general.Either way, dim times for Nepal.

  • Rape and sexual assault by Shasastra Sheema Bal (SSB)- India’s armed border security force deployed along Indo-Nepal border on our young women living near the Indian border reminds me of the assault and rape our own police carry on defenceless Tibetan refugee women. Just as Nepal cannot raise its voice on mighty India, so is the pathetic situation of the Tibetan refugees fleeing their homeland from Chinese atrocities.

SSB MEN HAS NO RIGHT TO TREAT THE POOR NEPALI CITIZENS ILL FULLY. THIS INCIDENT IS SHAMEFUL TO ALL INDIANS. SO I DEMAND TO GOVT OF INDIA TO TAKE THE MATTER VERY VERY SERIOUSLY AND SENT THESE DIRTY ANIMALS OF SSB TO DEATH PRISION. WE AS INDIAN ARE VERY SORRY FOR THIS BRUTAL INCIDENT.   • This is so sad news and Indian humiliate to NEPAL since I have been Reading any news or magazine . Actually the things i Nepaleese people Doesn't care until the things happen to own family and doesn't publicize Randomly while it is happening. I humbly and heartily request to every Single Nepali and all human right worker from world. Why don't. We Go against such kind of voilance. Why nepal government doesn't Take any action against it ?coz they wait until their family member Get raped. Every civilian is as important as president , prim minister Or minister for nation , law and rules. Raise the voice and take action Against such a crime and criminal. I want to request and ask to a question Every journalist and politician if That being raped lady is your own sister Or daughter how much you will move your pen?   • It is a great shame for Indians who pleads for a high morality and values.This is not first time a Nepalese woman is raped.News comes time to time but unfortunatelly no Indian authority takes action against it neither any Nepalese NGO or government take action to stop it.Culprit should be severely punished. I have never read any news that any Indian woman is raped in Nepal. Good relation does not only depend on money transfer or Nepal India Salt cooperation but it should be translated in spirit but merely words.

  • The first lady, the lunatic Hisila will perhaps take up the issue and fight for Nepalese women. Her husband BRB and Prachanda are the very dogs trained by the SSB and Raw. So we can't expect them to so much as raised their heads in front of their masters. And nobody in the government has a pair to confront the rapists. Actually thank you Telegraph Nepal for bring this issue to light.

  • So sad to hear this. Our borders should be guarded by our soldiers. How come they can come in like this anytime they want? We have to learn from pakistan and Bangladesh. Thukka brave nepalis! If we cant protect our sisters then shame on us! Never hear such incidents in pakistani border. Really we need to be firm like pakistan now, we should protect our borders. They only understand war.
