Second time in a week, some of the former footpath and jungle dwellers turned rulers of the country housed in the Unified Maoists’ Party, Nepali Congress and United Marxist Leninist have been suspected of conspiring to impose an emergency while promulgating the constitution of their preference.
First it was the Chairman of NEFIN (Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities) Raj Kumar Lekhi who made the allegation and now the humiliatingly sacked from the post of Labor and Transportation Minister, Mrs. Sarita Giri also believes that the three party rulers are conspiring to impose an emergency rule in Nepal.
Addressing a press meet held at Madhesh Media House in Anamnagar, Kathmandu, April 24, 2012, Mrs. Giri made it clear that the impending constitution will not be in favour of marginalized groups such as Madhesi, Women, indigenous nationalities, Muslims and Tharu.
“The constitution will at best suit the Maoists, Congress and UML,” she declared.
