The Unified Maoists’ Party secretary and party chief-whip Dev Gurung while addressing a program in Chitwan, Satruday April 21, 2012, claimed that there was no substance in alleging that his likeminded people (read the Baidya panel) have direct links with the royalists.
“The Establishment panel is moving in the direction that contradicts with the outcome of the Plagungtar extended plenum meeting and it instead blames us of being a royalist”, bemoaned.
“Whereas Chairman Dahal is taking on to the course of national submission, we have been suggesting devising policies keeping national interest and national sovereignty at the center”, he clarified his panel’s determined stance.
“The Nepal Army was deployed to complete the integration process. The PLA was forced to surrender”, he claimed.
“Unless one among the three major parties renounce their stance on the state restructuring, consensus is impossible”, Gurung told his cadres.
