Dozens of Indian leaders in town, sure to influence Nepal politics

Telegraph Nepal

Whenever Nepali leaders sit to chart their own fate back home, Indian leaders and some self proclaimed experts have made it a habit to land in Nepal uninvited. They also have the habit of providing unnecessary sermons. They come at the last minute to influence the ongoing Nepali politics.

Open border benefit.

Whereas India’s hidden role is impossible to rule out in the present scheme of things where peace and constitutional process gives the impression of moving in for a quick conclusion but the physical unwanted presence of the Indian leaders in Kathmandu at a critical juncture infuse fear among majority Nepali citizens. The fear begins right from the 1950s. In the recent years such penetration has taken a new height. Poor Nepalese yet have to gulp this humiliating pill.

Experts guess there must be at least two to three dozen Indian leaders, hundreds of Nepal experts and thousands of Indian intelligence agents roaming in the streets of Kathmandu. This must have irked Ambassador Jayant Prasad who is carrying out his tasks in favour of his country as swiftly as possible.

Addressing a press meet in Kathmandu Vijay Joli- in charge of Bharatiya Janata Party’s foreign cell made it clear in a jolly mood that “Nepali peace process began right in New Delhi with the signing of 12-Points Agreement when BJP’s senior leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the prime minister”.

He added, “The world is watching towards Nepal including India.”

Concurrently, he then exposes his own country. Intelligent Indian brains?

It was the BJP government which had dubbed the Nepal Maoists as terrorists much ahead of Nepal government. Foreign Minister Jaswant Singh had told this right here in Kathmandu, if one were to recall.

“India hopes that in the remaining 36 days, the constitution drafting process will come to its positive end. India and Indian people will be very happy to see democratic system institutionalized in Nepal.”

What a cruel joke. Appears that these leaders have already seen the India made Nepal Constitution. Not in hard cover perhaps.

Serving warning also said Joli, “Nepal should not become the hub of international terrorist organizations. India does not want Nepal to be used by outside forces against India.”

He however, did not suggest Nepal to break its existing all-weather friendship with both China and Pakistan. Great mercy.

He also remained tight lipped on Nepali extremist-armed groups operating from the Indian soil against Nepal. It is not fair Mr. Jolly. Excessive biasness at times rebounds.

General Secretary of India’s Nationalist Congress Party and parliamentarian Tariq Anwar said that Indian government will immediately declare an economic package upon completion of constitution drafting process.

The spokesperson of ruling Congress-I party, Rashid Ali assured that India will always side with Nepal.

Oh! It is already enough.

Similarly, former secretary of All India Congress Committee of the Congress-I, Alka Lamba said that Nepal and India share Bhai-Bhai relations. She also hoped that Nepal’s political deadlock will have an end soon.

It must come to an end since “they” have come, analysts opine.

Have a nice and pleasant stay in Nepal.

He will be the good Indian SWAVIMAN and he is the man of INDIA. Otherwise internationally the India lost their reputation around this WORLD. Babu Ram Bhattarai and Puspa Kamal Dahal is not Nepalese servent of NEPAL.

  • I think, these issues, our politicians will take till the END…… Lot more to see Dramas in coming days….. Surely they will go for VOTING and also there will be NO resolution after voting….. There will be again talks between these leaders…… they will pull it till the last moment…. WHY? Why they will do so? Purposely? Because if they decide today or tomorrow, there will be lot of opposes from various groups…… SO if they solve it, in last moment, no one will oppose and publics think that “At Last WE got The Constitution”…….. They will make this as a big SUCCESS and they will celebrate too….. SO I say, please be calm, and wait till last moment….. and LOT OF DRAMAS AHEAD….
