Why Nepal Maoists militias opted voluntary retreat, questions Khadka

Telegraph Nepal

The Nepali Congress leader Khum Bahadur Khadka is quite suspicious of the decision of majority Unified Maoists’ Party combatants to choose voluntary retirement scheme over integration in the Nepal Army.

“They used to formerly remain adamant in their decision to choose integration. Now, they have all of a sudden decided to adopt the voluntary retirement scheme. There is something underneath”, suspected Khadka addressing a press meet in Ghorahi of Dang district, April 19, 2012.

Reasonable logic is there.

There is no alternative to a Nepali Congress led government for the timely conclusion of constitution drafting process before May 27 deadline, also claimed Khadka.

By the way, the NC leader is facing corruption charges. The Court is studying his case.

Khadka was the Home Minister in the NC led government(s) formed in the past.
