Nepal Resort talk drama with state loot remain indecisive: Report

Telegraph Nepal

Reportedly the twenty four hours long Hattiban Resort talks between leaders of three major parties and the Madhesi Alliance concluded without major breakthrough.

But luxury with State loot continued.

Some two and half dozen leaders representing Unified Maoists, Nepali Congress, United Marxist Leninist parties led by their party chairmen had held talks expecting major breakthrough in the constitution drafting process at a luxurious resort located 10-12 kilometres south of Capital Kathmandu April 15, 2012.

The parties will again sit for another round of talks, Wednesday April 18, 2012.

State loot will continue.

“Talks were held in a positive environment though we did not arrive at a conclusion”, admitted Chairman Jhalanath Khanal of UML.

“We are very much hopeful that we will reach to a positive conclusion soon”, added Khanal.

However, Deputy Prime Minister Bijaya Kumar Gacchedhar who represents the Madhesi Alliance said, “We have finalized number of total federal states, their names and their demarcations.”

“The parties will now hold talks within their party and arrive at a conclusion before all the parties sit for another round of dialogue”, he claimed.

The drama thus continues.

Talks though remained inconclusive, yet Nepali tourism sector will certainly, time permitting, benefit. Hattiban Resort has already hit the international media headlines.
