Chairman Jhalanath Khanal of United Marxist Leninist Party has expressed hopes that with the completion of constitution drafting process before May 27, 2012, the transitional period will also come to an end.

Addressing a program in Balkhu headquarters of his party, Chairman Khanal added, “This is thus the end of the transitional period. It will not further lengthen after May 27.”

“We have completed all the disputes related to the peace process. This has created favorable atmosphere for constitution drafting”, Khanal claimed and added, “The peace process has already reached to the point of no return. We cannot look backward.”

“We have differences over system of governance, state restructuring, system of judiciary and some others but we have succeeded to build favourable atmosphere to resolve those issues”, Khanal hoped.

“We are also ready to comprise. We know making compromises and so we can attain our common objectives”, Khanal added in a philosophical manner.
