The Spokesperson of Nepal Army Brigadier General Ramindra Chhetri informed the media, April 13, 2012, that as per the government decision, the Nepal Army personnel deployed in the personal security of Nepal’s Former King Gyanendra Shah have been rolled back.
Some 25 army soldiers had been provided to the former king and his family for their security.
However, as per the government decision, some 50 Armed Police Personnel led by Deputy Superintendent have replaced the NA soldiers.
The APF spokesperson Sailendra Khanal had informed the media.
The government had taken the decision to replace the NA soldiers by APF personnel some six months back.
