NA security men rolled back from Ex-Nepal King’s security: Report

Telegraph Nepal

The Spokesperson of Nepal Army Brigadier General Ramindra Chhetri informed the media, April 13, 2012, that as per the government decision, the Nepal Army personnel deployed in the personal security of Nepal’s Former King Gyanendra Shah have been rolled back.

Some 25 army soldiers had been provided to the former king and his family for their security.

However, as per the government decision, some 50 Armed Police Personnel led by Deputy Superintendent have replaced the NA soldiers.

The APF spokesperson Sailendra Khanal had informed the media.

The government had taken the decision to replace the NA soldiers by APF personnel some six months back.

With complete UMLization (aaymalekaran) of the so-called revolutionary Unified Maoists’ Party and uprooting of 240 years old Hindu monarchy in all its forms through the direct support of India, the NOIDA revolution is thus complete, opine critics. Nothing remains to be accomplished now, opine critics.

  • I wonder if it is any use dicisssung about democracy, peace and governance in Nepal when the entire government structure is still occupied with same old corrupt and inefficienct government staff, who still have the mentality of SHREE PAANCH KO SARKAR.We should first try to change the structure of government staff, and introduce some system of check and balance and make government staff accountable.I DONT THINK ANYBODY IS READY FOR ANY CHANGE. AT THE END OF THE DAY, WE WOULD STILL BE FOOLING OURSELVES.WE ARE FROM A COUNTRY WHERE CORRUPTION AND INEFFICIENCY IS CHERISHED, AND A CORRUPT PERSON IS RESPECTED. NO WONDER GIRIJA PRASAD KOIRALA IS THE PRIME MINISTER.The entire corrupt government staff and corrupt ministers have found a new way to hide behind this thing called CA ELECTION. Is any damn bloody person interested in creating an environment where a normal Nepali person can leave peacefully and freely???I am sick of this new method of blocking all other agendas of the country in the name of CA election . There should definitely be preparation for CA election ( for which I dont think there has been any preparation apart from the analysis of the situation by election commision), however there should also be attempt to make some changes in the meantime.Hell there are so many ministers each with their own portfolio, at least raise some issue on what they are doing. Are journalists blind in Nepal ??? Whats the use of this boom of journalism during democratic period if al journalists can do is bring news about only one thing to the main news. Sabai jana bheda ko pachhadi lageko chha aba bheda kun bela bhir bata khasne ho ani sara bathan pani tehi khasne chha.

  • Stupidity and insecurity. @sanu: Even a small army officer after retirement gets security. For gods sake he was a King. This just shows how unjust we Nepalese have become under these so called leaders. The best thing would be to send those 50 APF personnel out and hire personal security. This is one of the most degrading act I have come across. I strongly despise and condemn the decision. Cannot you read the news above? It was totally charted out in INDIA. I guess Sanu secretly wants Nepal to gradually become a state of India. Yo Nepal ko uddhar nai chhaina!

  • Obviously, he nevertheless is a normal citizen as there is another Prachande king ruling the country under direct leadership of mafias and NOIDA group. Don't you know that?
